In questa scultura modello con la creta un corpo femminile che espone il proprio dolore.
Lo faccio per restituire voce a chi spesso viene ridotta al silenzio.
Due teste emergono dall'argilla per evidenziare la frattura dell'identità: ciò che la donna è e ciò che è costretta a diventare.
I chiodi che "cuciono" il corpo dal cuore in giù sono una ferita permanente, simbolo di un gesto violento camuffato da rito.
Infibulazione mette in scena la perdita del diritto all'integrità, all'individualità e al piacere.

In this sculpture, I model a female body in clay that exposes its own pain.
I do it to give voice back to those who are too often reduced to silence.
Two heads emerge from the clay to highlight the fracture of identity: what the woman is and what she is forced to become.
The nails that "sew" the body from the heart downward are a permanent wound, a symbol of a violent act disguised as ritual.
Infibulation stages the loss of the right to integrity, individuality, and pleasure.
